Local Community Groups Benefit from Grants

A number of local community organisations have recently benefited from funding in the latest rounds of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund and the Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund.
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) uses taxes from Golden Casket lotteries, wagering, keno and gaming machine to provide grants to Queensland community organisations to assist with their programs and services.
The GCBF has four funding rounds each year. The closing dates for applications are 28 February, 31 May, 31 August and 30 November.
The Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund uses taxes paid to the Queensland Government by Jupiters Hotel and Casino on the Gold Coast and Treasury Casino and Hotel in Brisbane. Funding is available for not-for-profit community organisations to assist them in providing services and facilities which will be of benefit to the broader community.

When requesting a Letter of Support, please provide as much information as possible about the purpose of the grant application and how it will benefit the community. Please allow at least a week for your letter to be prepared and request it well before the closing date.
