Minister responds to fire station questions

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

I have received a reply from Emergency Services Minister Neil Roberts in relation to the closure of the fire station at Kenmore and a new station built at Pullenvale.

For those interested, you can read the Minister’s response by clicking here.

I note in the same letter, for the first time the Minister has acknowledged my call for an ambulance station in the Moggill/Bellbowrie area.  In my view, this adds great weight to the argument I have been making and many members of our community have made that Kenmore Fire Station should remain at Kenmore and a new ambulance and fire emergency service centre be constructed in the Moggill/Bellbowrie area.

We often don’t think about emergency services until an unexpected emergency happens.  Now is the time to be ensuring that we have Emergency Services that are able to cope in a timely fashion with car accidents, fire and medical emergencies.
