Government accepts rethink on Gem Road

I asked the Kenmore Bypass Study Group to reconsider their original proposal that would have seen the closure of Gem Road and many local residents required to use residential streets like Sunset Road to leave and return to their homes.
I am delighted that the group has listened to this submission.The study group has issued three options for public discussion and comment in relation to creating a bridge or underpass in the Gem Road area.

I am pleased that all options contain a dedicated cycleway/pedestrian path.
The study group is due shortly to release a preferred option and a recommendation in relation to the Kenmore Bypass.
I encourage all interested residents to give the study group their feedback on the three options.
