Another local school gets asbestos removal

Following publicity about the dilapidated state of asbestos at the Chapel Hill State School asbestos reportedly in a similar degraded state at the Mt Crosby State School is to be removed. 

This asbestos flooring was in similar condition to Chapel Hill State School with holes taped up etc. 

I am very passionate about having damaged and degraded asbestos flooring removed to make schools safe.  Sadly it seems we only get the removal of it when publicity is focussed on it.  I don’t believe this is good enough and these damaged products should be removed much earlier.  I am pleased that at least we are getting them done in the end.
