Merlin Terrace still a problem

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

A number of people have approached me in relation to traffic ignoring the no right turn sign at Merlin Terrace and resulting near collisions.

Readers will be aware that this is one of the problem areas as frustrated traffic moves up Moggill Road and veers left into central Kenmore.  This intersection has presented some difficulties and dangers.

Of course this is one of many difficulties local residents and motorists have making their local trips on a road that is inundated by through traffic with no other alternative route to Brisbane.

In response to these concerns the Government has indicated they will further upgrade the signage at Merlin Terrace as well a putting markers along the centre of Moggill Road to discourage right hand turn traffic.

Whilst it is desirable that local residents have as much use of their local streets as possible the current circumstances along Moggill Road make this dangerous in this instance.
