Moggill Road flooding

The State Government has responded to my inquiries as to why a newly constructed Main Roads project on Moggill Road at Kenmore should have been cut by flood waters twice in less than six months.
The Government claimed that they have constructed the road to withstand a one in 50 year flood event and the bridge over Moggill Creek to withstand a one in 100 year flood event.
I have attached the Minister’s response to my enquiry click here.
It raises serious questions as to how a road allegedly constructed to flood once in 50 years is cut by flood waters twice in six months.
