Government prepare ‘business case’ in Grandview Road rethink
Friday, 22 January 2010 10:28
Following my representations to Main Roads Minister Wallace the Minister has replied that “officers of the Department of Transport and Main Roads have investigated your concern and advise the following”.
............The department has completed a business case for safety improvements at this location. The recommended capacity of the right turn into Grandview Road, as well as pedestrian movement across Moggill Road, is to signalise this intersection. Funding will have to be sought as part of future budgetary considerations.....
Residents will be aware that I have identified improved safety at this location as a top priority and identified this as one of the key things that need to be achieved to improve safety of local residents.
